Angry mob attacks black man at Carnahan town hall meeting
The Democrats have been predicting this would happen. A group of angry men attended a St. Louis town hall meeting on healthcare. They weren’t there for their own motives, they were sent there by organizers of their party. In fact, Russ Carnahan had reserved a section of seating for them (he barred the entry of members of the Tea Party coalition). Predictably, their fake anger boiled over in a racist attack.
Kenneth Gladney was handing out fliers expressing himself and his first amendment rights. The fliers were the popular “don’t tread on me” flag. Kenneth Gladney also happens to be black. That second part is especially infuriating to the left. Doesn’t he know he is a victim of rich white men? Well, today he learned his lesson. He became a victim. He was assaulted by members of the SEIU(Service Employees International Union), sent to the meeting by the left to counteract those who would interupt the town hall meetings by doing things like asking questions and handing out fliers. Michelle Malkin has more on the SEIU here: Michelle Malkin: SEIU and the persuasion of power
Here is a video of the aftermath of the assault. It doesn’t show the actual assault but there is some foul language so be forewarned.
I am writing this on my lunch break. I will have updates for you later today.
Update: This story just keeps getting worse for the left. It turns out, Kenneth Gladney wasn’t even there protesting Obamacare. He was just an out of work guy trying to make a few bucks handing out fliers. One of his attackers, also a black man and member of SEIU, informed Mr. Gladney that a man of his color shouldn’t be handing out such fliers. The attacker also used racial slurs during the assault. A Carnahan staffer was starting fights in line. Carnahan staffers were also letting SEIU members in a side door while TEA Partiers were barred from entry.
Update: Here’s the letter written by Gladney’s attorney to St. Louis Tea Party Coalition

It’s funny we hear Republicans say that they do not want “faceless bureaucrats” making medical decisions but they have no problem with “private sector” “faceless bureaucrats” daily declining medical coverage and financially ruining good hard working people. And who says that the “private sector” is always right, do we forget failures like Long-Term Capital, WorldCom, Global Crossing, Enron, Tyco, AIG and Lehman Brothers. Of course the federal government will destroy heathcare by getting involved, Oh but wait our military men and women and the Senate and Congress get the best heathcare in the world, and oh, that’s right, its run by our federal government. I can understand why some may think that the federal government will fail, if you look at the past eight years as a current history, with failures like the financial meltdown, Katrina, and the Walter Reed Scandal but the facts is they can and if we support them they will succeed.
Well, first off, this post is about the left accusing Tea Partiers and the like of being violent racists being supported by rich right wingers. Then it is members of the left who show up, at the request of Carnahan and engage in racial violence. I have other posts about the various problems with Obamacare. However, lets address a few of your points. First off, many of the people attending these meetings aren’t happy with any bureacrat making their decisions. Republicans have proposed various forms of healthcare reform also. Some good, some not so good. Many of the decisions being made by private sector bureacrats now are based on avoiding costly lawsuits. Guess who doesn’t want any reform in regard to lawsuits? Procedures become more affordable when Doctors can do a procedure without fear of billion dollar lawsuits. Most of the failures you listed failed either due to illegal activity by those at the top, or…GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE. I don’t know about the Senate and Congress, but the healthcare received within the VA system is far less efficient than that of the private sector. I have been waiting over a year for a determination on knee surgery. Don’t you watch the news at all? The love showing stories of the horrible conditions in VA hospitals then blaming it on Bush, like this phenomenon started that recently. I have a couple questions: If government run healthcare is so great, why do people from countries with government run healtchcare (Canada, England) come here to be taken care of and second, why are members of Congress so vehemently opposed to being on it themselves? I haven’t heard one Congressman volunteer to join the system they want to put all of us on.

Why don’t you stupid ass homo’s get a job instead of screaming outside a town hall on a weekday while the rest of us are at work being productive. I’m tired of you freeloading sissies doing jack shit to help this country while you cash your Medicaid checks and then throwing temper tantrums when the people actually paying your Medicaid try and improve the system. Sorry if you’re going to lose your Hoveraround scooters but sooner or later you losers need to learn that shit isn’t free and you need to pay for it by earning money.
Now go get a fucking job, bitches.
Yeah, why can’t you just sit down, shut up and take what the government says you have coming? That’s the spirit this country was founded on!
