Harry Reid is apparently feeling neglected lately.  Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden have been getting all the attention for the public idiocy.  Not to be outdone, the Nevada Senator through his hat in the ring for “most likely to be the reason the Democrats get ousted next election” with this statement Reid on closing Gitmo

     As I have previously noted, Harry Reid is one of the most vulnerable Senators out there (Defeat Harry Reid PAC, Hot Air: Steele’s speech, Reid’s approval, Sister Toldjah: Reid in trouble in NV?) .  Harry Reid is basically the Senator for Clark county Nevada.  Most of Nevada is rural and conservative or libertarian type people.  This is demonstrated by the fact that Nevada has a Republican Governor, two Republican Representatives and one Republican Senator.  The Democrat Senator (Reid) and the Democrat Representative (Berkley) are both from the Clark County area.  Even parts of Clark County are actually pretty conservative.  The Las Vegas Metro P.D. is one of the toughest in the country.  They know that Las Vegas depends on people having a positive experience while they are there.  If one old couple from Iowa is menaced by some thug, they aren’t coming back, and they are going to tell their friends too.  However,  Vegas, like all cities has slums.  The slums are full of Democrats (many registered repeatedly by ACORN).

     The other part of the problem in Clark County is, they have a bad case of Californians.  This plague has spread to many beautiful, and mostly conservative, western states.  The scenic hills around Bozeman, Montana, where I went to college are now covered in expensive houses infected with Californians trying to get away from California.  So they move to places like Montana, Idaho, Nevada, and move into a house next to other Californians.    If the infestation becomes large enough, the Californians are able to effect the judgement of the host communities, sometimes even the entire host state.  Harry Reid is a fine example of this.  Harry Reid is in office because of the giant tumor of Californians on the otherwise capitalist entity of Clark County.  Let’s hope, this next election, he can be surgically removed.
