Now that The Other McCain has kicked off climate gate parodies, I present my humble offering:

Dr. C:  So, before we go to the climate conference, are you going to tell me about the climate change data?

Dr. A: Of course, of course.  If I tell you about the data, will you quit bothering me?

Dr. C:  Yes, I’m just really into global warming and I want to know all about the data.

Dr. A:  Alright, Alright.  I’ll tell you about the adjusted data.

Dr. C:  The adjusted data?  What about the initial data? 

Dr. A:  We adjusted it.

Dr. C:  Can I see the initial data?

Dr. A:  There is no initial data.

Dr. C: But you just said this was adjusted data.

Dr. A: It is.

Dr. C:  So what was it adjusted from?

Dr. A: The data.

Dr. C:  So where’s that data?

Dr. A:  What data?

Dr. C: The data you adjusted!

Dr. A: Oh…you mean the data we adjusted?

Dr. C:  That’s what I’m asking, where’s the data you adjusted!

Dr. A:  We adjusted it.

Dr. C (flabbergasted and confused):  You have some adjusted data, right?

Dr. A: Right

Dr. C: You had some other data before you adjusted it, right?

Dr. A: Right.

Dr. C: So where’s the data, what was the data, before you adjusted it to the adjusted data?

Dr. A:  We adjusted it.

Dr. C: So if I want to see the data, what was the data before you adjusted the data…where do I go to see that?

Dr. A: To see what?

Dr. C: The data.

Dr. A: What data?

Dr. C: The unadjusted data.

Dr. A: You can’t.

Dr. C: Why not?

Dr. A and Dr. C together: Its been adjusted.

Dr. C: So this is the data?

Dr. A: That’s all of it.

Dr. C:  There’s no other data?

Dr. A: None that matters.

Dr. C: So this data used to be different?

Dr. A:  Of course.

Dr. C: So where’s that data?

Dr. A: That data is this data.

Dr. C:  So there is no that data?

Dr. A: That’s right, only this data.

Dr. C: So what happened to that data?

Dr. A and Dr. C together: Its been adjusted.

  Not nearly as good as the original but  you can only expect so much from the staff around here.  Maybe with some donations I could hire a decent writer.
