The computers at a leading Climate Research Unit were hacked into.  While hacking into the computers is a crime, the data exposed should lead to an investigation on a massive scale.  The “alleged” e-mails exposed by this seem to show a pattern of conspiracy between leading “climate change” “scientists” to manipulate data to support their claims of  global warming.  They also show a systematic suppression of data that doesn’t support their theories.  I am reading about this on my lunch hour so I don’t have time to go into a lot of detail on it right now.  Here are some sites that already have some great entries on this story: Climategate: The final nail in the coffin of anthropogenic global warming, Michelle Malkin: The global warming scandal of the century,  Sister Toldjah: Global warming alarmists exposed,  The Other McCain: Lies damned lies, and climate change, Riehl World View: Climate science fraud exposed

Update:  The left is responding.  In this entry, Real Climate attempts to explain away one of the questionable hacked e-mails. ( I like how they are still calling themselves “climate scientists”, that’s cute.)  They also remind us that hacking private e-mails is a crime and needs to be prosecuted.  I agree.  Manipulating data for political and financial gain sounds like some kind of crime too.  The Huffington Post discusses the same e-mail and seems to claim that global warming is still a valid belief because it is based on many studies not mentioned in these e-mails.  I assume those studies were conducted by “climate scientists” also.  So far, none of the “climate scientists” are explaining the meaning of several other incriminating e-mails discussed here: Hot Air: Do hacked e-mails show global warming fraud?  

     These hacked e-mails are just part of a larger picture of manipulating science to suit an agenda.  Leading experts on Polar bear populations are left out of climate conferences when their data and opinions don’t support the global warming/cooling/climate change/kill all the cows agenda.  Papers that don’t hold up under review are accepted as fact, while decades of concrete data are ignored.  These hacked e-mails should be a finishing blow for this global warming crap.  It won’t be.  Liberals never let facts get in the way of their agenda.  The agenda is not about global warming.  If Al Gore really cared about global warming, he would stop eating beef.  The agenda is about increasing the power of the government.  Global warming is a means to an end. 

     The dilemma we are left with now is, what do you call people who still hold on to the ridiculous myth of global warming?  Dumb-ass would be fitting but it is too broad.  The 9/11 conspiracy theorists were called “truthers”.  People who want to see Obama’s birth certificate are called “birthers”.  “Warmers” doesn’t quite do it.  How about “Gorers”?  I like that.  Suggestions are welcome though, as are donations.
