When I wrote  my first entry on the shooting at Fort Hood, I didn’t want to impute a motive yet.  Nidal Malik Hasan is a Muslim, but he is also a Major in the United States Army.  I thought it unlikely that a man like that could be building up to a premeditated jihadist incident without someone else in the military community noticing.  Well, people were noticing, they just didn’t intervene in time. 

     In the interest of continued worship at the altar of political correctness, few main stream media outlets are mentioning thegrowing pile of evidence pointing toward Hasan’s motives .  This includes eye witness statements of Hasan yelling “Allah Akbar” just before he started shooting.  Much of the media, and the left, chooses instead, to focus on the strain of Nidal Malik Hasan’s job.  He is portrayed as a good man who was troubled by the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.  He was ridiculed for being a Muslim.  He was not a “terrorist” but simply a troubled individual who took violent action against a perceived threat or oppressor by killing innocent people.  That’s way different than what “terrorists” do.  Members of the left are already wringing their collective hands and warning of the “Islamophobic backlash” to come.  In other words, in typical “blame America first” fashion, the left is turning Nidal Malik Hasan into the victim.  Who is really at fault?  America of course, the U.S. Military, American culture, certainly white men.  This is similar to how many prominent liberals felt that 9-11 was justified due to America’s past actions.  Obama touring the world apologizing for America’s past behavior only reinforces these kind of beliefs.  Just for fun, let’s look at the horrible things America has done to deserve such holy retribution:

The United States Army paid for Nidal Malik Hasan to go to college and paid for his advanced degree.  He received a base pay in excess of $6000 a pay period, based on the 2009 Army payscale.  That’s not counting additional pay he could have been receiving for a variety of reason or including the health care benefits, allowance for quarters and other benefits.  In exchange for this, the Army expected him to…do the job he was trained for!  He would be deployed to Iraq, but not as a combatant, he was going to be a counselor, as he had always been.  Eighteen-year-old kids, being paid far less than him, do it every day.  Nidal was angered by the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, so are lots of people.  There seems to be an alarmingly large number of Muslims who express their anger by killing innocent people.

Recently, in both Afghanistan and Iraq, innocent Muslims were forced into a government where they have to decide their leaders.  The evil Americans brought Democracy to them and now it is the citizens of Afghanistan and Iraq who are left to deal with the consequences.

Obama has assured Iran that they have the right to develop nuclear power, in fact, all countries have that right.  Well, all countries except us, Democrats don’t think America has that right.

America recently prevented an humble Muslim man from continuing to gas his own people, loot them and, basically, live any way he felt entitled to.  Who is America to tell Saddam Hussein how to live?

America also intervened against Saddam Hussein previously when he invaded his neighbors (also Muslim but that doesn’t matter).  Let’s just say the Democrats are right and these wars were all about oil.  If Democrats aren’t going to let us develop oil resources in America, it would be a good idea if the oil we can use were controlled by friendly Muslims instead of crazy ones.

Instead of using oil drilled here in America,America buys her oil from OPEC,  which is dominated by Muslim countries.  For many of these countries, oil is their only real export.  So…America is largely responsible for these countries having any economy at all.

 America backed the Mujahideen in Afghanistan against the Soviet Union.  The Great Satan provided Muslim rebels in Afghanistan with weapons, training, and the services of supreme communist killer, John Rambo.

Ok, Reagan did blow up Muammar Gaddafi’s house (is that how we’re spelling his name this week?) but I am pretty sure Muammar started it.

     Radical Muslims don’t hate us for some policy or some action.  Going around and apoligizing to them for perceived wrongs gains you nothing.  They hate us because we are who we are.  Terrorists are bullies, like all bullies, they hate strength in others.  We are a beacon of happiness and prosperity (for the moment) while they live in a world of hate and fear.  The left has befriended them because they think that the Muslims could be useful in weakening Christianity and in ensuring someone like George W. Bush is never elected again.  What they don’t realize is, once the conservative Christians are gone, the radicals won’t be done.  Radical Muslims don’t tolerate snooty women from San Francisco or half black lawyers with Muslim names telling them what to do.
